Fabulous
Fun and powerfully informative
Excellent!
activities were paced well and kept me engaged
A well run course with lots of information.
The use of technology for small break out groups was excellent.
The speaker was knowledgeable and an excellent presenter.
I highly recommend this training as a taster for Sand-tray work.
The best part of the webinar was gaining an insight into how to integrate sandplay into my existing therapeutic approach.
Webinar Description
90-minute webinar
Sandtray allows for the projective expression of one's personal inner world. Hear how to respectfully invite the creation of miniature scenes and stories that help clients see, know and change.
Sandtray is a powerful therapeutic method that has been around for nearly 100 years. It is a form of therapy that gives both child and adult clients the opportunity to portray, rather than verbalise, feelings and experiences often inaccessible and/or difficult to express. Its origins were in the work of Jung and Kalff who were analytically orientated. Current research has demonstrated successful use in shorter term, strengths-based approaches. In the free and protected space provided by the counsellor, a client creates a concrete manifestation of his or her inner world using sand, water, and miniature objects.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the webinar you will be able to:
1) Understand what Sandtray is and how it can work
2) Identify the theoretical basis of working with symbols (including Jungian, Narrative, Humanist, Gestalt perspectives)
3) Have considered the evidence for effectiveness
4) Have had an experience with this method
