Play Therapy Group Supervision

 


This ten-hour supervision group is open to therapists trained in play or other expressive therapy, currently working with children/ young people who want to reflect on their creative therapy practice in a small, supportive group. It aims to provide a welcoming and supportive space to reflect on and grow your practice.

Who should attend?

Any therapist currently working with children or young people who is using any type of creative therapy interventions including play therapy, art therapy, sandtray therapy, storytelling therapy, drama therapy and interested in being part of a small, supportive, 5 month, supervision group.  Each supervision group we offer is a closed group to maintain comfort, safety and trust. Registrations therefore will close for each group once they have started. There is place for up to 6 therapists in each group.

What you will need:

  • A reliable internet connection;
  • A device (eg computer or tablet) that be set up in a fixed position for the group duration with a camera you can keep on;
  • A private room for the group, free of distractions to allow you to focus and to maintain confidentiality;
  • Any art supplies you might like to use (eg, paper, pens, pencils, textas, oil pastels, chalk pastels, paints, clay or craft materials) for creative reflection exercises.

Group Facilitator - Jacki Short

  

Jacki is the Owner and Director of Sydney Centre for Creative Change. She is a registered counselling psychologist and supervisor and play therapist and supervisor with over 25 years’ experience in counselling, supervision, group work and training. 

 

Jacki has training and clinical experience in a broad range of play therapy and other creative therapy modalities and enjoys supporting others to build their creative and play therapy skills in working with children.

 

Passionate about supporting others to find creative ways to express, explore and resolve difficulties, Jacki loves sharing opportunities for connection and creativity.

Each Group Includes: 

  • Ten hours online group supervision
  • Maximum 6 therapists in each group
  • Work invoicing upon request 
  • Statement of dates and hours attended
