Masterclass overview 

This master class provides you with a practical opportunity to review and deepen your directive and non-directive play therapy skills with children. In addition to a brief theory review, you can deepen your existing play therapy skills, in this 3 hour training by considering your work through the lens of case conceptualisation and parent engagement.  We will also review note taking and record keeping. 

You will have the opportunity to:

• Review and reflect on non-directive and directive forms of play therapy;
• Deepen your play therapy practice;
• Review how case conceptualisation and parent engagement impacts your work;
• Connect with like-minded play therapy professionals in the field for supportive skills development.

Training methods will include:

• Interactive presentations
• Large group discussions
• Pair and small group discussions
• Practice experiences 
• Reflection opportunities 

Who should attend?

This Master Class is open to all SCCC Gold Members for free.

Premium Members and past alumni of the SCCC Graduate Certificate in Play and Art Therapy Course can purchase a place in this practical class. Places are limited to 20 people.

Workshop Facilitator - Jacki Short
		Jacki is the Owner and Director of Sydney Centre for Creative Change. She is a registered counselling psychologist and play therapist and supervisor with over 25 years’ experience in counselling, supervision, group work and training.    Her work in schools, hospitals, welfare organisations, drug and alcohol agencies and in private practice has inspired Jacki’s belief in the power of imagination, positivity, play and possibilities - especially in the face of challenge.   Passionate about supporting others to find creative ways to express, explore and resolve difficulties, Jacki loves sharing opportunities for connection and creativity.
